So, in case you have been reading this blog and do not know it, my friend Jeremiah and I just wrote a book. We are really excited about it. Here is a little about the book and the link to look at the first few pages of it:
Although many people in the United States today claim to follow Christianity, most do not practice it. This book takes a look at the reasons why and the ways Christians can correct the problem. The authors peer into Christians' views of salvation and discipleship to uncover solutions to the unchristlike actions of Christianity's followers. The book is a quick read that will cause the reader to examine their own practice of Christianity.

David, thx for visiting my blog. I will try to get hold of your book but being in South Africa it might be pretty difficult. Nothings impossible though!
All the best and I hope it`s a great success.
God bless
David,
Wow. Missionary. You're hard core! ;-)
Just wanted to thank you for the comment on Nick the Geek's posting on talking with homosexuals. I'm not homosexual, per se, I guess - but I am a transwoman, a freak, a queer, whatever. A lot of us feel a lot of pain about the way Christians relate to us, and I want you to know that I am reaching out with love and respect to see if there is some way I can help to bring peace between us, because quite frankly, the way y'all work so hard to keep us from enjoying the rights and responsibilities of secular marriage, and other actions y'all take, feels a lot like you've declared war on us.
I don't think it has to be that way. I think we can live together with respect, and allow each other the freedom to live our lives in our own integrity with equality. So I'm reaching to see if I'm right.
I guess I'm saying that based on an assumption that you're a conservative Christian who is opposed to things like gay marriage, yada yada. Please let me know if I'm wrong. And if you'd be willing to tell me how you feel after reading this, I'd appreciate it, especially if you did it on my blog or emailed through my profile - I don't know if I'll come back here or not.
I actually think that serving would be more akin to the initial picking up of the date. The serve is counted as out if you
A. Stay in the car and honk
B. Create the impression for her parents that your intentions are less than honorable
C. Fail to open her car door for her.
Thanks for stopping by!
